The 22-year-old joined Real from Olympique Lyonnais for £35 million. He has struggled to impress at the Bernabeu though, and did not manage to claim a place in the France squad for the World Cup.
He fits the age profile of players that Sir AlexFerguson likes to sign for United, and with Vidic's agent suggesting that the defender will move after the World Cup, a deal could be possible.
