Werder Bremen starlet Mesut Oezil is keen to followGermany team-mate Michael Ballack's lead and make a move to the Premier League, with Chelsea andManchester United his preferred destinations.

The 21-year-old emerging star has been a key player for Die Mannschaft in
South Africa as the team gears for their quarter-final clash with Argentina on Saturday.

While he is focused on
the World Cup at the moment, Oezil has just a year left on his current contract with Werder Bremen and hinted that the Premier League and La Liga interest him.

"You look at what Manchester United and Chelsea have achieved over the last five years and you see it would be easy to be successful at two clubs like that,” Oezil said according to
The Sun.

"I see what Michael Ballack achieved at Chelsea and the quality of players he played with and the temptation becomes obvious.

"Trophies are what matters to me. There are two teams in England always at the top and of course that's attractive. But the same is true for La Liga.

"They're the strongest leagues in the world.

"When I get back we can think about my future, but for for now it's not something I want to give a lot of thought to. To the top players the Premier League is attractive.

"The World Cup is all that matters at the moment."

Oezil has been integral to Germany’s success so far in the World Cup and will have to keep playing well if his team is to get past Diego Maradona’s men on Saturday.
