Bayer Leverkusen determined to do 'all they can' to land ex-Chelsea midfielder Michael Ballack
Bayer Leverkusen have declared they will do "all they can" to land out of contract Chelsea star Michael Ballack.
Time has been called on the injured German international's stay in west London, after Carlo Ancelotti refused to extend his deal that runs out at the end of this month. The 33-year-old has been linked with heavyweights Real Madrid and Manchester United, but is believed to be chasing a move to his homeland.
Speaking to reporters, Leverkusen sporting director Rudi Voller insisted he will do everything possible to ensure Ballack returns to the club played for from 1999-2002.
"We know that he has two definite offers and we are now ready to start negotiations," Voller noted.
"We will do all we can to bring Ballack back. We are in close contact with him and his agent."
